GREEN JAY
(Lambertson'03) TET 6" Sev EM Re 28"
(Nebulous Nearness x [Sdlg x Sdlg])
This daylily launches the first of a series of bird names inspired by my avid interest in birdwatching. Green Jays are a tropical species found in Southern Texas along the Rio Grande Valley. GREEN JAY has another magical eye that everyone who looks at it gets drawn into. Petals and sepals are a faun pastel color with an alluring medium blue purple eye and picotee edge and green throat. The eye is pierced by white triangles that enhance the drama of this flower. Producing many fascinating, eyed kids. 4-way branching, 20 buds, fertile both ways.
